2025 5K TURKEY TROT

The Turkey Trot 5K brings together neighbors, families, and friends of all ages for a fun and healthy tradition that celebrates community spirit. Each year, the event not only promotes wellness but also gives back by supporting a local non-profit organization making a positive impact in our area.

For 2025, all proceeds will benefit Beat the Odds, a dedicated organization working to support and strengthen our community.

Loudoun’s “Beat The Odds” scholarship program operates through the 501(c)3 non-profit Loudoun Bar Foundation and recognizes and rewards the achievement and success of Loudoun students who have overcome significant life obstacles by rising above challenges such as poverty, abuse, illness, addiction, and involvement in the legal system. Since its inception, Loudoun’s “Beat the Odds” committee has awarded more than half a million dollars in scholarship funds to young adults who have “beaten the odds” to achieve their higher education or trade educational goals after high school graduation. The program’s scholarship recipients have succeeded academically – with many achieving post-graduate degrees – and individually as community leaders and role models for those facing adversity in the greater Loudoun community.

The Loudoun Bar Foundation formed in 1999 with the mission of advancing the role of the legal profession through supporting scholarship and educational initiatives throughout the Greater Loudoun Community. In addition to the “Beat the Odds” scholarship program, the Foundation supports the annual Thomas D. Horne Leadership in the Law Camp for rising high school juniors, an annual charitable food drive, and other initiatives within the Loudoun legal community.

Race Info

The races will start and finish in front of the Potomac Club at Lansdowne on the Potomac. The 1K begins at 8 am, and the 5K Fun Run starts at 8:30 am.

Registration fees: $25 for the 5K | $15 for the 1K.
Race Day T-shirts available for the first 500 registrations for both 5K and 1K categories
Medals handed out to ALL Kids and then to all runners as long as they last!
5K Runners: Receive a chip-timed bib, and the top three male and female finishers will each receive visa gift cards as follows: 1st place $100, 2nd place $75, and 3rd place $50.
1K Runners: Receive a non-chip bib and a medal.
